. the 18 match landing net has a hollow d section alloy frame which is both lightweight and rigid. importantly this hollow frame has been properly sealed so it does not fill with water and gain weight when immersed. the net itself has larger mesh on the sides to reduce water resistance and improve manoeuvrability and finer mesh on the base to cradle the fish. the whole net including the alloy frame is in muted bronze/olive tone which has proved ideal in the coloured water conditions of commercial carp puddles and so natural and weed like on a variety of rivers and lakes that fish are far less net shy. some species, especially carp and chub, will occasionally dive into these coloured nets rather than veering away.
