non stretch sonar marker braid transmits sharp, well defined signals straight back from the lead. this makes it very easy to read changes in the make up of the bottom and to identify contours and features. its robust diameter and high breaking strain eliminate the need for shock leaders under normal conditions and also make it more manageable and durable for long term trouble free use. problems associated with floating or slower sinking braids at long range or in a crosswind are also eliminated a sonar marker braid has a specific gravity of 1.2 and sinks rapidly. the 25lb breaking strain is a nominal knot strength however, 30lb plus can be achieved with a twice through the eye 5 turn grinner. each spool contains 200 metres.
